ceecon brings together experts from all disciplines in the field of Central and East European studies. It is an exchange forum for discussing latest research findings on the region.
Plenary sessions offer academic exchange on topics relevant to all scholars from the field. Seven discipline-specific sections tackle research questions from a broad variety of topics and methodological approaches. A special time slot is reserved for the presentation of research projects by junior scholars.
ceecon is a joint cooperation between German Association for East European Studies (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Osteuropakunde / DGO e.V.) and the Institute for East European Studies (Osteuropa-Institut /OEI) of Freie Universität Berlin.
ceecon is complemented by the screening of the Ukrainian film “Homeward” on the second day, accompanied by an expert discussion in the Berlin cinema Arsenal.
