  • The application process for the ceecon Best Paper Award for Young Researchers 2024 is now open. You can apply until August 31 2024. Please find more information and the application form via https://ceecon.de/en/best-paper-award/
  • ceecon has awarded a limited number of travel grants to subsidize the travel of scholars who have no means to cover costs for travel and accommodation themselves. Special priority was given to junior scholars and to scholars from Central, Eastern and South-Eastern Europe and Eurasia.   • We are very happy to announce that The Centre for East European and International Studies (ZOiS) is a new cooperation partner of ceecon
  • ceecon24 will welcome all students and scholars who oppose Russia’s war on Ukraine. Anyone supporting Russia’s war, or justifying it in any way, will not be welcome. The organizers of ceecon do not collaborate with Russian state institutions.

Program in detail

Plenary sessions offer academic exchange on topics relevant to all scholars from the field. Seven discipline-specific sections tackle research questions from a broad variety of topics and methodological approaches. A special time slot is reserved for the presentation of research projects by junior scholars.

ceecon is jointly hosted by the German Association for East European Studies (DGO) and the Freie Universität Berlin. In 2024 it is organized in cooperation with the Centre for East European and International Studies (ZOiS).
