Plenary sessions offer academic exchange on topics relevant to all scholars from the field. Seven discipline-specific sections tackle research questions from a broad variety of topics and methodological approaches. A special time slot is reserved for the presentation of research projects by junior scholars.
ceecon is jointly hosted by the German Association for East European Studies (DGO) and the Freie Universität Berlin. In 2024 it is organized in cooperation with the Centre for East European and International Studies (ZOiS).
The cultural program of ceecon24 starts on October 6 with the Georgian film “Namme” by Zaza Khalvashi at the ACUDkino in Berlin. The movie was nominated for Best Foreign Language Film at the Oscars in 2018.
As part of ceecon24's cultural program, Ukrainian author Natalka Sniadanko will present her novel "Frau Müller hat nicht die Absicht, mehr zu bezahlen" on October 8 at the Literaturforum im Brecht-Haus. The reading will be conducted in German.
