Travel grants

ceecon offers a limited number of travel grants to subsidize the travel of scholars who have no means to cover costs for travel and accommodation themselves. Special priority is given to junior scholars and to scholars from Central, Eastern and South-Eastern Europe and Eurasia.

Grants can consist of grants for travel exclusively or for travel and accommodation, depending on the individual application. Complete coverage of all costs is not guaranteed.

Travel grants amount to up to

300 EUR for scholars residing in the Czech Republic, Germany or Poland,
500 EUR for scholars residing in other European States,
1,000 EUR for scholars residing outside of Europe, including South Caucasus.

Grants are exclusively awarded to scholars who present a paper on a regular panel at ceecon24. (Chairs, discussants, and roundtable participants are not eligible to apply.)

Deadline for application is May 12. All applicants will be notified of their status in June.

All applicants must complete the online travel grant application form.

Grant Disbursement:
Travel grants will be disbursed after the congress upon presentation of the disbursement form with accompanying expense receipts in the weeks following the convention. Applicants who do not have the means to pay in advance should contact the organizers after receiving approval.
